Detention and torture of three women in Ranrapata

On April 25, 1990, near Ranrapata, three women were detained when they approached to take documents of detained family members. A shopkeeper was also detained. All were beaten and interrogated. The women were forced to cook but later managed to escape. This case illustrates how women seeking information about detained relatives were victims of arbitrary detention and torture.
