Death of Hermenegildo Jauja Salazar in Fuchungo
Hermenegildo Jauja Salazar died as a result of torture by the military at Fuchungo
Jesús Jauja Sullo and Hermenegildo Jauja Salazar were arrested when they came from Chuchumake-Tirani to participate in an operation in Fuchungo. Hermenegildo Jauja Salazar was found dying on the ground. The community members testified that they had interrogated him, put him in the water and beaten him. He died as a result of the beatings and mistreatment, although there are versions that indicate possible poisoning.
