Incursion of Sendero Luminoso in Chiquián

Shining Path carried out an incursion in Chiquián, capital of the province of Bolognesi. After this raid, three people were arrested: Víctor Moreno Cotrina, Esaú Daniel Moreno Cotrina (father of a student) and a teacher from the school. According to the complaint, the police authorities of Huaraz did not admit the detention of these people and reported that the arrests were probably carried out by members of the DOES. Days later, the bodies of the three victims were found and recognized by their relatives with bullet holes in their temples.
