Intelligence assessment suspending coup plans after unexpected election results
The day after the elections, in a new intelligence assessment, the coup plotters explained the electoral result by affirming that there is a natural tendency of the Citizenry in periods of social, political and economic instability, to orient itself towards moderate and non-confrontational positions. The coup plans were suspended because a pronouncement after the second electoral round would constitute going against an already configured hope for change of an electoral force of no less than 50%.
