Election of university authorities influenced by the PCP-SL
PCP-SL decided to elect rector and vice-rector at UNCP
In April 1990 new university authorities were elected with strong influence from the PCP-SL. The student movement was strongly influenced by this group and the professors showed opportunism. The PCP-SL decided that Vizcardo would be rector and Cerrón vice academic rector, considering them more manipulable. This was the moment of greatest power of the PCP-SL in the university.
