Sectors of the PCP-Unidad join the Popular Revolutionary Bloc and FPL
PCP-Unidad militants join the BPR and form the FPL that joins the MRTA
In March 1990, some sectors of radicalized PCP-Unidad militants, led by Andrés Sosa Chanamé, left their ranks and joined the Popular Revolutionary Bloc. Others organized themselves in the clandestine Patriotic Liberation Front (FPL), which later joined the MRTA.
