Resignation of PCP leaders Unidad

PCP Unity leaders resign due to disagreements on revolutionary strategy

In the first days of March 1990, a communiqué appeared, signed by Andres Sosa Chanamé (leader of the Confederation of Peasants of Peru), Juan Pecho Arias (leader of the Mining Federation), Segundo Centurion (leader of the Selva Maestra-San Martin Agrarian Federation), all leaders of the PCP Unity, explaining the reasons for their resignation from the party. They accused the leadership of not having put into practice the general guidelines approved during their IX Congress in May 1987, especially the implementation of their strategy of government and power.
