Death of Major Roberto

Commander Roberto (Rodrigo Galvez) of the MRTA died on February 9, 1990. The Northeastern Front took his name as a tribute after his death.

Commander Roberto (whose real name was Rodrigo Galvez) died on February 9, 1990. That same day, the MRTA took the town of Picota. After his death, the Northeastern Front (FNO) of the MRTA took his name as a tribute. In April 1990, after Roberto's death, Commander Evaristo entrusted the command of the Front to Ricardo, who assumed the General Command of the FNO.
