11-year-old girl was recruited and trained in weapons by MRTA in Perene.
An 11-year-old girl was recruited by the MRTA. The subversives taught her how to grab weapons and kill guards without being felt. They told her that if the military showed up, she had to kill them, and if she couldn't, she had to fight. There was no difference between male and female. When she was 12 years old she was sent to La Florida where one night they entered the church to get weapons. MRTA members justified the recruitment of children by saying that 'they are better than adults, they are more agile, and with them they can recover many weapons'.
