Forced recruitment of 10 year old child by MRTA
MRTA recruited 10-year-old boy for espionage and combat in Santa Ana.
A boy of about 10 years old was kidnapped by the MRTA. There were minors even younger than him. The subversives said that it is better to be a minor than an adult. That day they had taken 4, 5 or 6 children. They used them for spying. They trained them to do kites, to ramparts, how to escape in confrontations. They instructed them daily to go to confrontations. Recruitment was done with promises of monthly payments of around 200 soles that were never made.
