Attack and torture of Fr. Franz Windischoffer in Huantar

Fr. Franz Windischoffer, parish priest of Huantar in Huari, was attacked and tortured, and his house was set on fire. This violent attack against the priest is part of the escalation of violence against pastoral agents of the Catholic Church. The objective was to intimidate and expel religious from the area.
