Sexual violations that occurred in the town of Contay, Ayacucho, in 1990, documented in the CVR's Women's Public Hearing.
In 1990, in the village of Contay, district of Saurama, province of Vilcashuaman, department of Ayacucho, cases of rape were recorded. The event was documented in testimonies presented to the CVR. The facts were exposed during the Women's Public Hearing, Case No. 2, Single Session, held on September 10, 2002. This case is part of the systematic pattern of sexual violence that occurred in several communities in Ayacucho during the internal armed conflict.
