MC returns from Huancayo and supports MRTA
MC returned from Huancayo in 1990 and decided to support the MRTA in the community of Dos de Mayo, committing his entire community to this group to protect himself from the PCP-SL, which was looking for him for treason after having previously sympathized with them.
In 1990, in the Tsiriari valley, Mazamari district, some colonist communities had some sympathy for the MRTA, as they offered them protection from PCP-SL. In the colonist community Dos de Mayo, MC, who had previously sympathized with PCP-SL, decided to support MRTA after returning from Huancayo in 1990. Upon returning to Dos de Mayo, he committed his entire community to the MRTA to protect himself from PCP-SL, as he was wanted by the Reds for having betrayed them. This change of allegiance led the community to organize into peasant patrols under the influence of the MRTA.
