Resolution on land transfer SAIS-Cahuide
In 1990, the Board of Directors of SAIS-Cahuide issued a resolution to transfer land to the partner communities after its dissolution in 1988, except for those in judicial litigation such as Antapongo and Río de la Virgen.
The Board of Directors of Transitory Administration and Dissolution and Liquidation of SAIS-Cahuide tried unsuccessfully to resolve the land conflict in the courts. In 1990, it issued a resolution explaining that since the dissolution of SAIS-Cahuide had been agreed upon in 1988, the respective transfer of ownership and possession of the land to the SAIS member communities would be carried out. However, the lands that were in legal proceedings, such as the Antapongo and Río de la Virgen properties, were exempted from this transfer. This resolution occurred in the context of internal conflicts between communities over the unequal distribution of land and legal claims filed by communities such as Huasicancha.
