Clash in Aynaca with 5 deaths
Clash between police forces and the PCP-SL in Aynaca, Ambar, which left 5 dead in 1990, some of them apparently important Shining Path military cadres.
In 1990, a third confrontation took place in Aynaca, Ambar district, Huaura province, between police forces and subversive elements of the PCP-SL. The confrontation resulted in a total of 5 deaths. According to the report, some of the dead appeared to be important military cadres of the PCP-SL. This confrontation took place in the same year that another confrontation occurred in Ambar with two subversives killed, demonstrating the intensity of counter-subversive operations in the area during that period.
