Second Forum for Life and Peace
Event organized in 1990 with the support of the Episcopal Conference to promote peace in Lima. It had a very limited attendance due to the generalized fear of the population in the face of the resurgence of violence.
The Second Forum for Life and Peace was organized in 1990 with the support of the Episcopal Conference. This event took place in a context of worsening political violence in Lima, particularly in the Northern Zone. Unlike the first forum organized in 1987, attendance at the Second Forum was very limited due to the intense fear experienced by the population in the face of increased subversive violence and state repression. The forum was part of the efforts of local organizations, parishes and NGOs to promote peace and reject violence in the midst of the internal armed conflict.
