Disappearance of Javier Antonio Alarcón Guzmán

Javier Antonio Alarcón Guzmán, leader of the FENDUP (National Federation of University Teachers of Peru), was kidnapped and disappeared in December 1989 in the department of Junín. This case is part of a series of disappearances and murders of union and social leaders that occurred during the internal armed conflict in Peru. The disappearance was documented in complaints filed with the International Labor Organization (ILO) as part of the violations of freedom of association in the country.
