On November 21, 1989, the strangled body of Hector Delgado Parker was found in Uchiza, after having been kidnapped by the MRTA on October 4. Delgado Parker was president of the board of directors of Panamericana Televisión and a former presidential advisor.
Héctor Delgado Parker, president of the board of directors of Panamericana Televisión and former advisor to President Alan García Pérez, was kidnapped by the MRTA on October 4, 1989. After being held captive for more than a month and a half, his strangled body was found in Uchiza on November 21, 1989. The MRTA had demanded the broadcasting of a proclamation on television as a condition for his release, but they finally murdered him. This kidnapping and assassination occurred in the context of the intensification of MRTA actions during the 1989-1990 electoral period.
