MRTA sympathizer professor was murdered in dean's office
Luis Aguilar Romaní, a professor at the Pedagogy Faculty, who had explicit sympathies with the MRTA, was attacked by three elements who found him in the office of Dean Jaime Cerrón Palomino. They shot him several times, leaving him agonizing, and he died days later. The University Council treated the event as an 'accident' and no one pointed out the political nature of the crime or the need to investigate it.
