Massacre in Ccsancaccay and recruitment of 15 minors

Shining Path killed 14 parents defending their children and recruited 15 minors in Ccsancaccay.

On May 17, 1989, about 50 hikers entered the village of Ccsancaccay in the district of Vinchos saying 'we are taking the boys who are 13 years old'. In this way, 15 young boys and girls (men and women) were taken from their parents' hands. When some women and a few villagers refused to let go of their children, they were immediately shot in the head and killed. Eight male and six female peasants died, all defending their children who were dragged off to join the Popular Guerrilla Army.
