Enforced disappearance of two young men intercepted in police van in Huaraz
Between 09:30 and 10:00 hours, Pedro Eduardo Haro Cruz and César Augusto Mautino Camones were intercepted while they were riding their bicycles along the Shansha Curve, 7 kilometers from Huaraz. Two unknown persons forced them to get into a closed orange van with license plate RE-5508, a CORDE Ancash vehicle that was under the control of the Fifth Command of the Civil Guard. Witnesses witnessed how the youths were forcibly taken together with their bicycle. They have been missing since then.
