Confrontation in Cotabambas, start of the organization of Self-Defense Committees
There was a confrontation between the PCP-SL and an army patrol in Cotabambas. From that moment on, Self-Defense Committees began to be organized in the different provinces of the department, as part of the counter-subversive strategy.
