Villanueva and cabinet present themselves to Congress

Prime Minister Armando Villanueva del Campo and his cabinet appeared before Congress in April 1989 to answer questions about the economic crisis and the subversion, facing an interpellation with more than ninety questions.

The president of the Council of Ministers, Armando Villanueva del Campo, and his cabinet appeared before Congress to respond on the issues of economic crisis and subversion, particularly on the Uchiza case. On April 26, the Villanueva cabinet was questioned before the Chamber of Deputies to respond to a list of more than ninety questions. This presentation took place in a context of serious political and economic crisis, as well as an escalation of terrorist violence in the country.
