Execution of three PNP officers in Uchiza
Three police officers executed after 'popular trial' in Uchiza plaza
Major PNP Carlos Farfan Correa, Captain PNP Walker Moscoso Carrera and Ensign PNP Walter Rengifo Lopez were taken prisoner during the attack on Uchiza. They were taken to the main square where they were subjected to a 'popular trial' in front of the population. They were asked to surrender publicly and provide information. Upon their refusal, they were executed with firearms and explosives in the presence of the villagers. The subversives accused them of being 'bourgeois' and of having 'information to give'.
