Detention, torture and subsequent death of Bernardino Flores Arbieto

Bernardino Flores Arbieto was detained by 24 soldiers from the Capaya Base and taken to the base where he was severely beaten with the butt of a gun. According to the testimony of his wife Gertrudes Arbieto Huamaní, after the mistreatment her husband became ill, unable to work and with constant pain in his back. He was taken to Lima for treatment but the doctors said he was normal. He later died in his home in Chillico as a result of the torture he received.
