Victims of Political Violence Organize for Human Rights
In 2002, victims of political violence in Peru began organizing to defend their human rights. They coordinated efforts to search for disappeared family members, seek the release of innocent prisoners, clarify the facts of their cases, and pursue compensation. These efforts were supported by human rights organizations and family groups.
