Murder of Sister María Agustina Rivas
Sister Maria Agustina Rivas, of the Good Shepherd congregation, was murdered in La Florida, Junin. This murder of a religious sister is part of the systematic attacks by the Shining Path against pastoral agents of the Catholic Church. The sister worked with poor communities in the area.
